CT Motorcyclist Nabbed After Driving Erratically, Crashing, Police Say

A Connecticut motorcyclist who was allegedly driving erratically through the streets was arrested after crashing the bike.

The incident took place in New Haven County on Sunday, Aug. 15, in Milford after police spotted the cyclist in the area of Milford Center allegedly driving erratically.

According to police, Antonio Jandreau rode through the area of Daniel Street where there was high foot traffic at a high rate of speed and lost control of the motorcycle several times. 

Officers in the area attempted to stop Jandreau but he left the area. 

Jandreau, age 26, of Wallingford, then attempted to make a U-turn on Cherry Street and struck two vehicles that were proceeding through the intersection, police said.

He then fled the area on foot and was located a short time later.

Following his arrest, Jandreau was charged with: 

  • Reckless endangerment
  • Three counts of reckless driving
  • Driving the wrong way on a wrong way street
  • Driving an unregistered vehicle
  • Interfering with an investigation
  • Evading responsibility
  • Illegal U-turn

He is being held on a $5,500 bond.
